Cranford, NJ Family Dentist - Kurt M Krause DMD - Krause Dental Care
My interest in science and attention to detail contributed to the commitment to study the art and science of dentistry. I also wanted to work directly with people to favorably impact their health and see results of my efforts. In dentistry the results can be dramatic varying from relief of pain to the restoration of pleasantly appearing form and proper function. His unwavering focus has been to lead his patients to the best in dentistry and aligning that goal with striving for excellence to improve their oral health and smile.
Dr. Krause attributes his professional values and dedication to practice quality dentistry to his father, Dr. Frank W. Krause, a highly respected orthodontist who maintained his practice in Cranford for fifty years. He attributes his strong communication skills to his mother, a long-time community volunteer in Cranford.
As a competitive and accomplished varsity distance runner in both high school and college Dr. Krause learned the benefit of healthy living habits and discipline. He currently maintains his fitness with regular exercise. He supplements his fitness routines with swimming, cross-training, and hiking or backpacking. Each year Dr. Krause hikes segments of the 2190 mile Appalachian Trail and so far has completed the full trail in the states of Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. He also enjoys fishing in both inland and offshore waters.
Dr. Krause is a graduate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2002. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Allegheny College, P.A. After obtaining his Doctorate in Dental Medicine he completed a general practice residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Kaleida Health. He then began practicing general dentistry in Philadelphia while completing a two year internship in the private practices of faculty from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Departments of Orthodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis.
